The Reporting Portal supports the transition of open reports when the Display Transitioning feature is turned on. This feature automatically cycles through all open reports in the same sequence that they are listed in the Active Report Tabs area and displays each report for a defined interval. The status area to the very bottom-right of the Reporting Portal page indicates whether the Report Transitioning feature is currently turned on or off as follows.

 | This indicates that the Report Transitioning feature is currently turned off. Left-clicking over the status area turns the feature on. |
 | This indicates that the Report Transitioning feature is currently turned on. Left-clicking over the status area turns the transitioning feature off. The display text shows as a "countdown" indicating the number of seconds left that the currently selected report will be displayed for before the next report within the display sequence is automatically switched to. Additionally, the number of reports currently configured to be included in the display switching sequence is shown in a pop-up tooltip when the mouse cursor is floated over the status area. |
 | Indicates that the Report Transitioning feature is currently turned on but is not actually performing the automatic display switching logic due to one of the following problems, which is also indicated within a pop-up tooltip shown when the mouse cursor is floated over the status area: Insufficient Open reports Included There are not enough open reports that are also currently configured to be specifically enabled in the display switching sequence - As a minimum, at least 2 open reports must be enabled. Note that the number of reports currently configured to be included in the display switching feature is shown in a pop-up tooltip when the mouse cursor is floated over the status area. Report Content Error The currently opened & selected report is showing a data content error, which is normally displayed when there is an Internet connectivity issue on your company network. Additionally, an error can be also displayed when the corresponding report couldn't be successfully run due to either a licensing error or an invalid filtering scope configuration where the report is being run across too many Customer partitions/tenants. |
The transitioning tab in the report properties window allows you to configure whether the corresponding report is included in a report transitioning sequence.
